Sweet Dreams with Endy

Time really flies. I’m writing an honest 100-night review of our Endy Mattress, but I keep thinking and saying “we just got a new mattress.” Before we took the leap and ordered our mattress, I had been considering it for several months. I had heard it is recommended to replace your mattress about every 8 years or so, and we had inherited our mattress from my in-laws, and I estimate it was probably 15-20 years old. Needless to say, we were long overdue for a new mattress. I had even wondered if it was exacerbating Luca’s skin issues when we were co-sleeping.

After much research on the best mattress, we decided on the Endy. We chose it based on its amazing online reviews, positive first-hand reviews from friends, the affordable price point, the convenience factor, and the fact that it is Canadian made.

We decided to upgrade our old foam queen mattress to a king-size Endy because we wanted to be able to fit the whole family in for movie nights, my husband and I both like having our own space when we sleep, and because we had enough space to fit one, so why not?!

Once we placed our order, our mattress arrived within a few days and it was so nice to have it delivered right to our front door. We didn't have to worry about hauling the kids out to the store or loading and unloading a truck. Setting our Endy up was just as easy. We just opened the box, unrolled the mattress, and watched it expand.

Endy says it takes about one week for the mattress to reach perfect comfort, but we slept on it a few hours after unboxing it and had a great first night’s sleep. We did find that it continued to get increasingly more comfortable each night for the first few nights.

My first impression was that it was SO much more comfortable than our previous mattress. I couldn’t decide if it was a soft or firm mattress. People kept asking me that question and the more I thought about it, I realized it was neither soft nor firm, but rather the perfect in-between.

The next thing I noticed about our new Endy was that I could not feel my husband move at all. It was such a difference from what I was used to. Previously I would wake up if he got out of bed, but once we switched to our new mattress, I did not wake up at all. In fact, I would wake up in the morning alone and wonder when he left. This resulted in a much more sound sleep for me, as Garrett is a light sleeper and often tosses and turns. For this reason, this is probably my favourite feature of the Endy.

When I’ve shared our mattress on social media, I received questions regarding if it makes me hot. I was confused by this, but apparently some mattresses make people sweat. This is definitely not the case with the Endy. I have never felt hot or sweaty when sleeping on it.

Both my husband and I have nothing but good things to say about our Endy mattress. The only problem with it, is that when we travel, we find hotel beds not nearly as comfortable as our own mattress, so we end up missing our Endy at home! :)
